Worship Gatherings at St.Barnabas

Following the latest Government lockdown the leadership in our Canford magna Churches which includes St.Barnabas, Canford Parish Church and the Lantern Church have taken the decision to suspend Live worship service until further notice. We will be monitoring the infection levels in our areas on a regular basis. This means that we will continue to record a video that will include Worship songs, prayers and a biblical reflection based on our latest preaching series, and this will be available from 10.30 am each Sunday. You can find all of our services available in our Sermons pages.

Our next service is:

Greetings from Geoff

We are so pleased that you are visiting our web site, but to really get to know St.B’s you need to come along and pay us a visit.

We are an Evangelical church that are seeking to be open and to move in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our church is open to a number of community activities, and we are praying for more opportunities to serve the people of Bearwood.

Sung worship and the preaching of God’s word are priorities for us, and we regularly offer prayer ministry for those who would like it.

Do come and see us and join us as we worship our Mighty God. For full information on up coming services and any of our church groups please check our Events and news pages.

The Power of Prayer

God is ready, willing and able to listen and answer our prayers, all the time.

Sometimes though, we might like someone to pray for us. Here at St Barnabas we have a team of people willing to do just that. It’s easy to request Prayer, just click the image above, fill in the Prayer request form and we will pray for/with you. It can be totally anonymous and your details will be kept safe and we will only contact you if you want us to.

Song of the Month

Music is a great way to speak to us but also enable us to speak and worship God, so each month we choose a song to enable us to do just that. This month the song is: Only Jesus – Citizens

Sunday Services

We hold services every Sunday at 10:30am. We pride ourselves in offering a warm welcome to all and after each service provide refreshments and chance to catch up and talk with one another.

We have two service types: Prayer, Praise and Preach and Holy Communion.

All of our services, include, songs of worship, a talk from our latest series of teachings and time for prayer and healing ministry.

Our services are open to all people and all ages, with our Children’s ministries running during the main service.

Children’s Ministries

As a family church we provide children’s ministries during our main services. We have 4 age groups ranging from birth through to late teens, each group follows a similar curriculum following the Bible and it’s teachings. This offers the chance for children to learn and study God’s word no matter what the age. Each group includes Bible study, songs, art/craft, prayer and discussions.

    • Little Lambs: is our crèche available from birth to 2 years. (A parents or guardian must supervise their child).
    • Lion Cubs: the first of our main children’s ministry groups from the age of 2 until 5/6 years old.
    • Kids Church: this group is for children between the ages of 5/6 through to 11 years old.
    • Xcite: this group is for anyone over the age of 11.
